construct - (v.): to build something such as a house, bridge, road etc.; to form something such as a sentence, argument, or system by joining words, ideas etc together
  • Synonyms: build, compose, create, form, make, put together
  • Antonyms: break, destroy, demolish, take apart
  • Origin: L. construere meaning "pile up together, build," from con- "together" + struere "to pile up"
  • Example: The new building being constructed right across the Interstate seems to have appeared overnight!
What do you think the newly constructed building will be when it is finished?

Check out Elijah's constructed response task below! Great example, Elijah!
