adapt - (v.): to change something (or someone) to make it more appropriate for its setting; to modify something so that it will be a better fit for the way you want to use it
  • Synonyms: change, adjust, modify, prepare, remodel, make fit
  • Antonyms: disorder, stay the same
  • Origin: 1610, from the Latin roots ad- meaning "to" + -aptus meaning "fitting" (as in appropriate)
  • Example: Madison, Shay, Gabby, Syreena and Mercedes have adapted well to life at Ponderosa!
Tell us about a time when you had to adapt to a new situation. Did you handle it as well as these ladies did?

A time that I had to adapt to something new was when I came here after preschool(that is only half of preschool) I handled it pretty well because the people who went to preschool with me came to the same school(Rani and Taya!) but sadly only Rani was in my class (Mrs.Jackson's) Taya was in Mrs.Peterson's so...
that's why I handled it pretty well!
